About the Specified Skilled Worker evaluation test for the automobile transport industry.
In March 2024, the automobile transport industry was added as a Specified Skilled Worker category. To work in this field, you must pass both a skills evaluation test and a Japanese language test.
Common across all categories: safe driving knowledge, daily vehicle inspection, related regulations, and customer service (passenger transport only).
JLPT N4 or higher, or JFT-Basic A2 or higher is required.
Tests are conducted regularly both in Japan and overseas. Check the automobile transport industry council website for the latest schedule.
